We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our growing commercial construction team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to take on a leadership role. We're seeking an experienced Estimator who demonstrates exceptional performance and a commitment to our company's success. About Us Randstad are partnering with a well respected National Commercial builder, who construct projects up to $400m across multiple sectors, across Australia. This builder has 30+ years of operation, with a strong reputation in delivering complex builds for blue chip clientele. ... The Role As our Senior Estimator, you'll be a key player in our pre-construction phase. You'll be responsible for preparing detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial projects. Your ability to analyse blueprints, evaluate specifications, and collaborate with project managers and subcontractors will be critical. You will also be responsible for the Melbourne team's performance, whilst the Estimating Manager grows other states.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects
  • Conducting detailed takeoff, and analysing proposals and bids from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors
  • Identifying and evaluating project risks and opportunities
  • Mentoring and guiding junior estimators and leading the Estimating function in the Melbourne

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Demonstrative experience of at least 7-10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator
  • Commercial & Industrial experience is essential
  • Proven expertise with estimating software - Cubit, Cubit Select & Buildsoft
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and local regulations
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia
