Job Description

Our client, a leading name in the construction and fit-out sectors, is seeking a highly skilled Estimator/Cost Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of retail, commercial, and framework projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Produce detailed take offs and project estimates for various tenders
  • compile and manage subcontract tenders for new projects
  • negotiate contract sum values with clients and suppliers
  • assist the operational team during pre-construction by creating profitability plans and procurement schedules
  • attend on-site valuations and maintain variations trackers during construction
  • manage final accounts with clients and the supply chain
  • apply principles of JCT/NEC contracts when awarding works to the supply chain
  • actively develop the supply chain and negotiate stronger terms upon project award
  • lead and manage a growing commercial team, including line management of a Junior Estimator

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in construction or fit-out sectors
  • strong background in cost management and estimation
  • strong digital skills
  • ability to work independently
  • excellent multitasking abilities, managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
