Requirements

5 years or more of relevant experience in construction estimation
Demonstrated experience with primary focus on retail commercial tenant improvement projects
Excellent ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

Sharp attention to detail, rigor, and great autonomy

Job Responsibility

Analyze plans and specifications for commercial tenant improvement projects
Perform quantity take-offs (metering)
Evaluate and negotiate bids from specialized subcontractors (interior finishing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and profit margins
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to understand specific tenant needs
Identify potential risks
Propose value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets
Maintain and develop a reliable database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors
Participate in project start-up and follow-up meetings
