Job Description:

You’ll be the functional lead for ESG at Mews, turning evolving sustainability requirements into clear policies, reliable data, and audit-ready documentation that the business can actually use – all in service of our belief that ESG should be a value-creating, business-enabling pillar, not just a compliance checkbox.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and connect key ESG workstreams such as carbon footprinting, policy development, external ratings, disclosures, and audit preparation
  • Build simple, usable systems for ESG evidence and reporting, so non-experts can self-serve while we stay compliant and audit-ready
  • Partner across People, Legal, Finance, Strategy, and Operations to make sure our ESG approach fits how Mews actually operates, not just what the regulations say on paper
  • Shape and iterate the ESG roadmap, translating high-level goals into concrete initiatives, milestones, and metrics that the business can rally behind
  • Tell a clear ESG story to internal and external audiences, connecting our data, policies, and actions into narratives that resonate with customers, partners, and investors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience independently delivering complex ESG, sustainability, or regulatory programmes end-to-end, ideally in regulated or audit-exposed environments
  • Deep working knowledge of key ESG and sustainability frameworks, especially environmental and governance topics (for example carbon accounting and CSRD/ESRS-style reporting)
  • A knack for turning complex requirements into clear, concise policies, evidence packs, and guidance that non-experts can actually use
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders across People, Legal, Finance, Strategy, and Operations, balancing fixed deadlines with imperfect data
  • Strong written and visual communication skills, from well-structured policies to crisp slide decks and briefing notes
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, creating structure where needed, and improving processes as regulations and business priorities evolve
What we offer:
  • Participation in our company share program
  • Best-in-class parental leave (6 months fully paid for primary caregivers, 2 months for secondary, available within your first year)
  • Unlimited paid holiday
  • Work from anywhere - enjoy the flexibility to work from other countries for a few weeks each year through our compliant and flexible Workation policy
  • Relocation options available after 1 year
  • Monthly "EDGE" time - dedicated to Explore, Develop, Grow, and Elevate yourself
  • Flexible, hybrid working options
  • One-off home office setup budget to make your workspace your own
  • Monthly working-from-home and healthcare allowances (where local healthcare benefits are not in avaliable)
