Job Description

This is a leadership role within a high-growth fintech engineering organization. The Build team owns the core decisioning logic used by hundreds of financial services companies to configure identity and risk policies. You will be responsible for leading, hiring, and developing a team of backend and full-stack engineers who build the tooling that allows customers to create and maintain complex policies in a fast, reliable, and intuitive way.

Job Responsibility

  • Recruit and hire excellent engineers into your team
  • Run weekly 1:1 meetings and actively mentor direct reports
  • Track, manage, and improve team delivery metrics and KPIs
  • Drive agile sprint planning and execution processes
  • Oversee code review, QA, release, and deployment workflows
  • Help engineers make strong architectural and product decisions
  • Communicate priorities and resolve blockers across teams
  • Improve platform quality, security, and performance through effective planning
  • Foster a collaborative, servant-leadership culture

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on background in JavaScript / TypeScript or Python
  • Proven experience leading engineers in scalable, high-availability systems
  • Solid knowledge of modern backend application architecture
  • Experience working within AWS environments
  • Track record of hiring and building technical teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Humble leadership style focused on enabling others
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced product companies
