Job Description:

The Mobile Apps Platform team is building a platform to enable customer facing, native iOS and Android teams within CVS Digital to quickly and easily build, test and deliver experiences into the hands of our customers, all at the scale of a Fortune 6 company. We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager - Mobile Platforms passionate about building tools, libraries, and processes that reduce toil, improve developer experience, reduce cognitive load, and accelerate delivery of features.

Job Responsibility:

Hire and retain high performing, deep technical engineers
Lead a team of iOS and Android engineers as they build internal shared libraries and work to constantly optimize our build and test infrastructure
Work with architecture and engineering teams to help standardize how we track performance, health, and stability of our applications
Actively participate in the design and architecture process for new services across teams
Set OKRs with your team and ensure the health of those with KPIs
Communicate and collaborate with users across a large mobile engineering organization
Provide technical leadership, direction, clarity, and vision
Advocate of engineering best practices, including test coverage, clean code, security, and a11y
Coach and mentor team members and contribute to building a strong engineering culture
Create a supportive and safe environment, building trust with your engineers
Provide feedback and help engineers set attainable goals
Recruit engineers that are among the best in the industry

Requirements:

7+ years of overall software engineering experience
3+ years of leadership experience, directly managing individual contributors
3+ years of experience building mobile applications
2+ years of experience working with highly available, large scale, high performing applications
2+ years of experience working on a project using mature CI/CD practices, source control such as git, and automated testing

Nice to have:

Prior Experience working in Platform engineering teams
Experience working in Observability and Feature Flagging Platforms
Proficiency in mobile technologies for the entire SDLC
Experience partnering with product to deliver products
Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills
Awareness of new and emerging technologies
Experience in Agile /Scrum
