We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Engineering Executive to lead and manage complex engineering projects and initiatives within Hindustan Unilever Limited. This role involves driving innovation, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence across our manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale capital projects, including new plant installations, capacity expansions, and technological upgrades, adhering to strict timelines and budget constraints
Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives, focusing on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence
Oversee the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality
Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical expertise, and safety consciousness
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Production, and Procurement teams to integrate engineering solutions and support new product introductions
Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, environmental policies, and company guidelines
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and best practices in engineering to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for engineering services, equipment, and materials
Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, engineering performance, and strategic initiatives to senior management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) from an accredited institution
Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in engineering roles within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or similar large-scale manufacturing environment
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex capital projects and engineering initiatives
Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in mentoring and developing engineering talent
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial engineering principles
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools
Ability to travel as required to various plant locations and vendor sites
