Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will operate and lead within a project team and will be tasked with the responsibility to design, develop and verify new products from concept through to production in the most cost and time efficient manner whilst operating within ResMed Quality Standards. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also mentor and guide less senior engineers, help drive process improvements and may be accountable for the overall design of product sub-systems.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent with significant experience in a product development role designing complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Significant engineering experience within the medical industry (preferred)
  • Significant knowledge of product development process, including preparing documentation for the design history file
  • Significant knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (PTC – Creo products preferred)
  • Significant experience & application of simulation & analysis tools (e.g., Ansys, MoldFlow, Minitab)
  • Significant experience in test, verification and validation traced to requirements and in developing test/process measurement capabilities
