Job Description:

Scottish Power Energy Networks are looking for a Senior Layout Engineer to join them on an ongoing contract basis.

Requirements:

  • Proficient at producing the following drawing types using Excellent Autocad skills: 132kV Substation Layout Plans and Elevations
  • Electrical and Safety Clearance Drawings
  • Busbar Layouts and Busbar Clamp Schedules
  • Above and Below Ground Earthing Layouts and Detail Drawings
  • Good knowledge of all types of 132kV AIS equipment
  • Excellent 2D draughting skills using AutoCAD
  • Strong background with AIS substation layout design and HV switchgear
  • Good communication skills to work well within a team
  • Knowledge of relevant National Standards such as ENA and NG Technical specifications to be able to apply these to achieve a substation design to SPEN specifications
