Job Description:

San Francisco Public Works is seeking two Senior Civil Engineers at the Construction Management Bureau of Project Delivery division for two different projects. Project A: PAVEMENT RENOVATION & SEWER REPLACEMENTS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS. Project B: INGLESIDE DISTRICT POLICE STATION REPLACEMENT & SURGE FACILITY PROJECT.

Job Responsibility:

Manages and directs the activities of professional and technical engineering personnel performing highly technical and administrative functions in connection with the design, construction, operation and maintenance of projects and systems
Supervises and/or directs subordinates in the preparation of designs, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for a variety of engineering design and construction projects and/or construction inspection or personnel engaged in the most difficult and responsible professional engineering work in the field and office

Requirements:

Baccalaureate degree with major course work in engineering
Seven (7) years of verifiable professional civil engineering work experience of which four (4) years of that experience must be as a licensed professional engineer
Two (2) of the seven (7) years must be equivalent to the City and County of San Francisco class 5241 Engineer in the Civil Engineering specialty
Possession of a current Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California in Civil Engineering
Possession of a valid California driver license

Nice to have:

Experience leading and managing large, multidisciplinary construction management teams composed of construction managers, resident engineers, inspectors, and consultant staff
Completion of specialized construction management coursework and advanced safety training (e.g., OSHA, HAZWOPER)
Construction management certifications are preferred
Proficient in construction management and engineering software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD
