Job Responsibility
Build, maintain, and improve Plant Simulation models that represent production and material flow behavior for manufacturing systems
Analyze throughput, identify bottlenecks, evaluate capacity constraints, and recommend actions to help the system achieve required output
Study machine utilization, processing behavior, setup time, failure impacts, and buffer performance to improve line flow and system stability
Configure and use material flow, resources, and mobile objects within Plant Simulation to run scenario-based what-if studies
Translate production plans and operating assumptions into simulation-ready inputs and model logic
Prepare clear results summaries, charts, and recommendations for engineering and project stakeholders
Requirements
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production/ Automobile Engineering discipline
3-10 Years of Experience in Throughput Simulation/Material Flow Simulation for Automotive Plant
Hands-on experience with Siemens Plant Simulation, AutoCAD
Hands-on experience with SimTalk 2 to code logics of simulation model
Knowledge about workflow and processes in Body, Paint, General Assembly and propulsion systems
Knowledge about throughput behaviors and production systems
Knowledge in Python and other scripting languages
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Strategy (ex. TOC)
Ability to address unusual and/or difficult problems with analytical ability and problem-solving techniques
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, layout design and Material flow and layouts
Knowledge about vehicle assembly manufacturing process and documentation
Excellent research-ability of multiple information and data sources
Excellent Communication (verbal & written) and meeting facilitation skills
Working knowledge of Industrial Engineering including Manufacturing Process Documentation, Global Manufacturing Systems, Bill of Process (BoP), Bill of Equipment's (BoE), Vehicle assembly process in automotive plant (Body / Paint / GA)
