Job Description

The role is responsible for managing plant-quality concerns, driving supplier-related issue resolution, supporting NPI builds, and ensuring uninterrupted production by executing effective containment, corrective actions, and preventive mechanisms.

Job Responsibility

  • Address and troubleshoot plant quality issues, including implementing immediate fixes
  • Plan and execute containment actions to prevent production disruptions
  • Follow up with suppliers for NCR acceptance, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Lead closure of plant quality issues to avoid line stoppages
  • Coordinate with SQD during NPD/NPI trials and communicate trial results
  • Work with cross-functional teams (CFT) for deviation approvals
  • Visit supplier locations to validate corrective actions as required
  • Coordinate and execute rework at the plant site
  • Provide performance feedback for NPI parts as per the safe launch plan
  • Lead HCP (Heightened control plan) activities during all project builds to ensure smooth valve assembly and overall build quality
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for plant quality issues using appropriate problem‑solving tools
  • Develop, validate, and standardize measurement methods and related inspection standards
  • Collaborate with SQD to drive continuous improvement initiatives at supplier end.

Requirements

  • BE/ Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of casting process, casting machining, precision machining & special processes like heat treatment, plating etc.
  • Hands-on experience on 8D, Problem solving techniques, SPC,PPAP, MSA, Quality tools etc.
  • Good analytical ability, six sigma green belt is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015, IATF16949, 14001: 2004 Standards.
