Job Description

We are partnering with a leading global organisation within the advanced manufacturing and technology space, supporting complex electronics and engineering solutions across international markets. They are currently seeking a Senior Engineer – Supplier Development to drive supplier performance, quality, and capability across their electronics and PCBA manufacturing ecosystem.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive supplier development activities across electronics and PCBA components
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations
  • Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new product introductions and engineering changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, procurement) on supplier selection and qualification
  • Support design and manufacturing reviews to ensure supplier readiness
  • Identify and mitigate risks within supplier manufacturing processes
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier base
  • Engage suppliers on quality standards, processes, and expectations

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in: Supplier Quality / Supplier Development / Process Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in: EMS / PCBA manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with PCBA assembly and testing processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with suppliers across Penang, Kulim, or Johor is highly advantageous

Nice to have

  • Experience in global or MNC manufacturing environments
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lead Auditor certifications
  • Exposure to electromechanical or advanced electronics components
