This role is responsible for leading and delivering the mechanical services scope across hyperscale data centre and mission‑critical facility projects. The role ensures that DPI design, installation, commissioning, and quality standards are met across all mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH units, and mechanical infrastructure typical of high‑availability environments.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the mechanical design review, technical submittals, and shop drawing approval process
Oversee installation of HVAC systems, chilled water networks, pumps, ducting, mechanical containment, and associated systems
Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE standards, SMACNA standards, and regional codes
Coordinate with electrical, civil, ELV, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure integrated MEP execution
Conduct site inspections, method statement reviews, and risk assessments
Monitor and enforce mechanical QA/QC processes and ensure completion of all test packs
Validate equipment selection, supplier documentation, and commissioning reports
Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues
Manage mechanical subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project schedules and safety requirements
Review progress reports and provide updates to DPI project leadership
Support commissioning teams through FAT, SAT, IST, and integrated building performance testing
Ensure red-line drawings, O&M manuals, and close‑out documentation are completed
Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties
Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
8+ years’ experience in MEP or mission‑critical mechanical systems
Strong knowledge of data centre cooling systems (DX, chilled water, indirect/direct evaporative cooling, precision cooling)
Familiarity with Middle East construction standards (UAE, Qatar, KSA)
Ability to manage multinational contractors and fast‑track project environments
Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams
