This role is responsible for overseeing all electrical systems delivery on hyperscale data centres and other mission‑critical facilities. This includes MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, grounding, lighting, and structured cabling interfaces. The role ensures DPI standards and client technical requirements are met throughout design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Job Responsibility:
Lead electrical design review and ensure adherence to specifications, IEC standards, DEWA/SEC/Kahramaa regulations, and applicable data centre standards (TIA‑942, Uptime Institute)
Oversee installation of MV/LV switchgear, PDUs, UPS, generators, cabling systems, earthing/bonding, and electrical containment
Support procurement and vendor technical evaluation for key electrical equipment
Review method statements, technical submittals, and perform regular quality inspections
Ensure electrical testing (IR, continuity, functional testing, load testing) is carried out and documented correctly
Monitor safety compliance including LOTO, energized work controls, and electrical risk management
Coordinate with mechanical, ELV, security, and ICT teams to align all interfaces
Manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery aligned with project schedules
Interface with consultants and clients to resolve electrical engineering issues
Support commissioning teams during FAT, SAT, power‑up, UPS load bank testing, generator testing, and integrated systems tests
Ensure all O&M manuals, final documentation, and as‑built drawings are completed
Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties
Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company, and group policies and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
8+ years’ experience in electrical engineering for MEP or mission‑critical projects
Strong technical understanding of MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, and grounding
Experience working with international clients and consultants
Familiarity with Qatar and KSA regulatory frameworks
Excellent stakeholder communication and site leadership skills
