Job Responsibility:
Support motor and actuator development projects from concept through validation and safe launch
Review, assess, and update motor and component drawings in collaboration with design teams
Define, develop, and maintain DVP&R and ensure alignment with customer and internal requirements
Plan, coordinate, and follow up on design validation and testing activities, including internal and external test labs
Ensure proper execution of tests and analyze results with cross-functional teams
Prepare, review, and release technical documentation including DFMEA, DVP&R, and project deliverables
Interface with customers, suppliers, program management, quality, and manufacturing teams
Support resolution of technical issues (design, test, NVH, EMC) until product release
Ensure compliance with product development processes and audit requirements
Work in a global environment, including coordination with teams in North America, Asia, and other regions
Requirements:
BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of experience in the automotive electric motor or actuator industry
Strong background in product engineering with solid understanding of motor design, able to read, review, and modify engineering drawings when needed
Experience in motor and actuator development, including design validation, testing, and product industrialization
Good knowledge of automotive development processes (APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, DVPR, SPC)
Experience with NVH and EMC topics related to electric motors or actuators
Fluent in English
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Senior experience in automotive electric motor or actuator product development
Deep knowledge of EMC
Strong experience with DVP&R development and test follow-up
Good understanding of motor design principles
Experience working with APQP, DFMEA, and validation processes
Ability to coordinate testing activities and analyze results
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience with PMDC motors or electromagnetic motor design
Experience with seating or closure actuators
Knowledge of NVH and EMC topics in automotive applications
Experience with CATIA, UG/NX, or similar CAD tools
Chinese language skills
Experience in global or multicultural project environments
Ability to mentor or technically support junior engineers
