Job Description:

An established UK law firm are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Employment team in its Reading or Bristol offices. The role offers a balanced mix of claimant and respondent work. At senior level, the successful candidate will advise senior employees including executives, partners and managers on a variety of workplace issues. Matters may include grievance and disciplinary procedures, performance management concerns, unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and related disputes. The role will also involve assisting with contentious matters, including litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court, as well as advising on settlement agreements and complex team move scenarios. On the employer side, the team works with a range of high-profile clients across sectors such as technology, retail, pharmaceuticals and financial services. Work typically includes day to day employment law advice, drafting and reviewing contracts and workplace policies, advising on restructures, strategic HR issues, business transfers and other organisational changes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Advise senior employees including executives, partners and managers on workplace issues
  • Assist with contentious matters including litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court
  • Advise on settlement agreements and complex team move scenarios
