Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our collaborative and supportive HR team. In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring a high standard of service across our business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering a legally compliant, value-added advisory service to managers on all people management matters
  • Supporting managers with HR activities, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, performance, and reward
  • Advising on HR policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of employment law and best practices
  • Acting as the escalation point for complex case management
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and strategies
  • Managing and responding to HR queries within the team
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives, including TUPE transfers and redundancy consultations
  • Monitoring and reporting on employee relations trends and case activity
  • Maintaining accurate colleague data in HR and payroll systems
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, learning and development, and offboarding
  • Collaborating with the HR Leadership Team on key projects and initiatives
  • Travelling to sites and branches as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a wide range of employee relations casework
  • Experience supporting change management processes, including TUPE and redundancy
  • Background in supporting a customer-facing, geographically dispersed workforce
  • Experience preparing for and responding to Employment Tribunal cases
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organisation
  • High levels of resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards/willing to study)
