Job Description

Our team expands Deezer’s reach through partnerships with leading companies and organisations distributing Deezer to their customer bases. The EMEA Strategic Partnerships team is seeking an exceptional, seasoned account manager to manage partners in France and across Europe. This role covers both retail and digital distribution environments, with a strong focus on in-store and omni-channel visibility, activation and sales performance. As a senior manager on the team, you are responsible for accelerating sales, healthy subscriber growth, and revenue across our partners’ retail and digital channels. You will set and execute on the growth strategy for your partner portfolio, manage day-to-day relationships with internal and external teams, and ensure alignment of your partnerships to the overall company and Commercial division strategy. You will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships EMEA, within the Chief Commercial Officer’s organisation. The role requires a high level of transversal collaboration with retail sales and marketing enablement support vendors, as well as colleagues in Analytics, CRM, Product and Partner Integration, Content, Editorial, Artist Relations, and others.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate retail sales of Deezer’s offers, marketing enablement and external vendor management to ensure execution of in-store activations and campaigns
  • Achieve revenue targets and generate a pipeline of new opportunities based on your strategy to grow subscribers, revenue, and margins for your accounts
  • Build strong rapport at multiple hierarchical levels with Partners in various companies, securing alignment across commercial objectives, resourcing, growth plans, and renewals
  • Regularly challenge partners with insights and recommendations on how to achieve better results
  • Mobilize internal stakeholders to support Partners and keep teams informed about key information
  • Be the internal expert on contractual commitments, deadlines, marketing activities, to ensure Partner and Deezer compliance with our agreements
  • Manage complex contract negotiations with partners and all key stakeholders involved with or affected by Partnerships initiatives
  • Embody Deezer’s core values in your local market, be an ambassador for our global partnerships team and represent Deezer Partnerships at key industry events

Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of international and intercultural work experience in Strategic Partnerships Business Development, or key account management in media, telecommunications, VOD, consumer electronics, gaming, and/or retail
  • A team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude and a solutions-oriented approach to challenges
  • Superb communication skills in both spoken and written English and French, allowing you to comfortably manage senior stakeholders in both languages. Business fluency in other languages is a plus
  • Strong retail and distribution ecosystem expertise, with a deep understanding of partner business models, go-to-market strategies and value creation levers
  • Proven record of exceeding revenue and other commercial targets and managing complex multi-million euro deals
  • A consistently strong negotiator who is proactive, autonomous, has executive presence, is comfortable with navigating uncertainty, and documents key information and decisions for internal and external stakeholders
  • Know-how: experience using sales tools like Salesforce, Monday, Zoho, or other CRMs to track opportunities and activity
  • ease with leading Business Planning and forecasting internally and externally including annual and long-term growth plans
  • Proven ability to define and drive a 360° business vision, combining business strategy, channel marketing, communication, activation plans and operational execution to maximize partner performance.
