Job Description

Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Pod (formerly Pod Point), a leading UK EV charging provider. You will design, build, debug and test embedded software for Pod’s hardware platforms, own features end-to-end, collaborate with hardware and electronics teams, integrate IoT technologies (Thread, Matter, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular IoT), drive technical quality, mentor junior engineers, contribute to system architecture evolution, and support product lifecycle. Required: embedded software experience (ideally consumer IoT/connected devices), strong engineering fundamentals, relevant degree or equivalent experience. Bonus: Embedded Linux (Yocto), C/C++/Rust, EV standards (IEC 61851, ISO 15118, OCPP), CI systems, IoT/cybersecurity standards.
