Job Description:
Lead the design and architecture of complex Power Distribution solutions and safety circuitry for building systems (AC medium voltage to DC lower voltage), ensuring compliance with global standards. Drive and execute the hardware development lifecycle for multiple concurrent, high-complexity instrument projects, from initial concept and system architecture definition through full production release. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and best practices. Serve as the primary technical interface in cross-functional teams (including mechanical, software, and manufacturing) to define system architecture, specifications, and robust integration strategies. Act as a senior customer-facing engagement lead, building relationships and ensuring deep alignment on complex technical requirements and project milestones. Oversee and ensure rigorous adherence to product requirements, schedules, and budgets across multiple projects, implementing robust risk management strategies. Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of relevant electrical codes and safety standards (Semi S2 and S8, NFPA, NEC, IEC standards), ensuring all designs meet or exceed regulatory requirements. Design, review, and approve complex SOLIDWORKS electrical drawings and technical documentation, setting standards for design quality and accuracy. Drive strategic market research and lead product evaluations for critical component selection, managing external vendor relationships and supply chain risks. Lead all aspects of system certification processes (Semi S2 and S8, NFPA, NEC, IEC 61010), working closely with external certification bodies and internal safety teams. Author comprehensive engineering reports and present complex technical findings and project status to senior management and key stakeholders. Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department, focusing on design processes, tools, and methodologies. Designing Cable Harnesses for the system to work as intended. Select appropriate hardware to meet safety and system requirements.
