Job Responsibility:
Assist in the development of electronics for instrumentation systems and interact with Mechanical Engineers and Software Engineers to integrate electronics hardware into system designs
Support Project Engineers and Project Managers in electrical aspects of projects as requested
Develop and test prototypes of devices they design
Leading the design efforts of any subsystem types encountered on a project
Defining the tests, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products
Analysis of problems to see how electrical/electronic devices might help solve the problem
Analyze the test results and change the design as needed
Monitoring a product in use and improve on future design
Defining requirements and functionality of the systems
Customer support, communicating with clients and contractors
Identify customer requirements
Define budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers
Perform Costs Estimation of proposals for both materials and NRE labor
Define electrical/electronic project requirements
Liaise with suppliers and with others in the design team
Production and implementation of designs and test procedures
Presenting designs to managers and clients
Specification of the architecture for systems
Write and review technical documentation, writing and reading design specifications and technical drawings
Writing and reviewing reports and documentation
Successfully lead innovation efforts for processes and products
Responsible for defining specifications, designing, assembling, and installing company systems and products in laboratory
May involve installation activities as well as conducting factory or site acceptance testing of delivered systems
Responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of electrical engineering projects
Contribute to technical solutions, share knowledge with team members, and ensure high-quality deliverables
Play an important role in shaping departmental goals, standards, and best practices through expertise and collaboration
Requires less than 5% domestic travel within the U.S.
Requirements:
Requires Masters in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related Engineering field and 3 years of experience in the job offered, Electronics Engineer, or related
3 years must include experience with (1) expertise in offshore instrumentation system design
(2) standard electronics concepts, practices, and procedures
(3) in system tools and electrical design tools including Visio, PLC programming environment ( Rockwell Automation Workbench), Matlab, and Labview
(4) 2D drawing tools (Draftsight, AutoCAD)
and (5) MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook.
