Senior Electrical Engineer - New Product Introduction (NPI) Salary: £53,000 + comprehensive benefits package Location: Bristol area (Hybrid working - split your time between home and our state-of-the-art site) Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you ready to bring next-generation technologies to life? We are a global leader in high-tech engineering and manufacturing solutions, and we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (NPI) to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you won't just be maintaining existing systems-you will be the driving force behind the design, development, and commercialization of brand-new, complex engineering modules. Reporting directly to the Lead Engineer, you will have the autonomy to take ownership of sub-assemblies from initial concept all the way to production, ensuring world-class quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance. What You Will Do Innovate & Design: Develop and design cutting-edge modules and sub-assemblies for new products, following a structured product commercialization process. Validate & Test: Ensure all designs are robust and compliant with international standards through rigorous calculations, prototyping, and testing. Document Excellence: Own the Technical Construction File (TCF) process by creating and maintaining precise 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and test data. Collaborate: Work seamlessly within a multi-disciplined team to hit critical project milestones and deliver top-tier engineering solutions on time. Educational Background: An electrically biased engineering degree (or an equivalent qualification paired with 2+ years of solid industry experience). NPI Exposure: Experience in product development and introduction cycles is a major plus. Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools (such as CATIA, Visio, AutoCAD, or similar drafting software) and the ability to interpret P&IDs and system schematics. Manufacturing Savvy: A strong grasp of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), alongside knowledge of diverse engineering materials and fabrication techniques.
