three to five years of relevant electrical estimating experience, specifically with Data Center projects

Job Responsibility

Manage the electrical estimating process from beginning to end, including timelines, deadlines, and estimating packages
perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing
partner with our construction teams to properly transfer awarded projects
estimate interim designs to track and confirm pricing, conducting necessary research for accurate pricing
communicate with customers to define project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships
prepare and present completed estimating packages to company executives, senior management, and Operations team
continuously follow up on bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities
partner with Operations to properly transfer awarded projects and perform buyouts when necessary

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of data center electrical systems, data center infrastructure, water infrastructure, and site planning
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7+ years Project Management experience
Mission Critical Construction industry experience
Data Center experience
Individual must be driven, hardworking and dedicated
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
An energetic self-starter with a “can do/whatever it takes” attitude who can perform under pressure, work successfully on tight deadlines and identify and resolve problems as they arise
Ability to read and comprehend design drawing packages

Job Responsibility

Interface with the owner to ensure critical infrastructure integrity
Provide oversight across the delivery of ground-up data center builds and infrastructure upgrades in a design build environment, ensuring alignment with project delivery schedules and stakeholder expectations and full accountability for T5 scope, schedule, quality, and budget
Act as the primary onsite representative for the owner, ensuring consistent alignment between field execution and client expectations
Coordinate across disciplines (design, construction, commissioning, controls, networking, security, etc.) to ensure seamless project integration and handoff to operations
Oversight of engineering firms & general contractors throughout all project phases, including mobilization, execution, punch list, and turnover
Monitor change orders with stakeholders and monitor resolutions to prevent delays and mitigate financial risk
Monitor construction progress and prepare regular executive level updates on key metrics, schedule forecasts, constraints/issues, risks, etc. for internal and client stakeholders
Collaborate with the T5 Commissioning Lead on commissioning and integrated testing efforts that will verify system performance prior to handoff
Deliver constructability input on electrical and mechanical designs for the assigned campus to ensure cost effective, buildable solutions
Contribute to initiatives that improve construction processes, safety practices, and overall efficiency across T5’s growing data center portfolio

Ideally a graduate of higher education (Engineer or equivalent) in the field of electrical/climate engineering or generalist
Experience: at least 5 years within a construction project management company, a design office, or even an installer on project management issues
Proven track record in project management, preferably in the hosting or service integration industries
Good level in civil works and/or HVAC and/or Electrical and/or Security/Networks and/or BMS
Knowledge in general design of industrial buildings with issues close to Data Centers (continuity of service, security, etc.)
Proven ability to work under pressure and with others
Ability to work simultaneously with several projects
Ability to analyze and summarize
Ability to “popularize” the technique and the benefits for non-experts
Good command of document writing
