About the Role; Location: Remote EST; Position Description: Immediately contribute as a hands‑on developer, building and maintaining EDI mapping solutions for healthcare encounter data; Design, code, and refine EDI maps aligned with HIPAA and X12 standards; Analyze raw data and produce detailed mapping specifications; Translate and transform EDI 837 X12 into delimited and fixed‑width formats; Test, debug, and resolve EDI mapping and data transformation issues; Work closely with technical teams and business partners to ensure accuracy and compliance; Document processes and maintain regulatory alignment; Operate with a high degree of independence and accountability

Job Responsibility

  • Immediately contribute as a hands‑on developer, building and maintaining EDI mapping solutions for healthcare encounter data
  • Design, code, and refine EDI maps aligned with HIPAA and X12 standards

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct HIPAA Gateway transaction development, including: 837, 835, 277, 277CA, 277U, 824
  • Strong, practical experience with HIPAA EDI mapping and transformations
  • SNIP‑level edits and validation expertise
  • Deep understanding of X12 file structures, acknowledgments, and transaction flows (TA1, 999, 835, 277U, 277CA)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex EDI transformation issues
  • Experience with IBM transformation tools: ITX / WTX / STX
  • SPE / ITXA / STXA
