Oxford Economics, a leading economics and consulting firm, is seeking an experienced and results-driven economist to senior our construction forecasting practice in the Americas. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Construction Forecasting (based in Sydney, Australia), you will play a pivotal role in producing and communicating our North and Latin American construction outlook and driving service enhancements to grow our practice.
Job Responsibility
Producing forecasts of construction value put-in-place forecasts for the Americas
Establishing yourself as the trusted expert on construction in the American market
Being the key point of contact for all construction clients in the Americas
Collaborating closely with both the broader Global Construction Team and with your North American peers across Oxford Economics
Requirements
Postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field
Minimum 3 years experience applying economic analysis in the construction sector
Demonstrated experience communicating economic ideas and concepts to a diverse range of audiences
Demonstrated experience of creating and applying economic models to produce forecasts
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong sense of initiative and drive
Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and ability to work with the sales and marketing teams to promote our construction content
Experience managing and developing staff
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to clients and senior executives
Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events
Willingness for flexible working hours to enable collaboration with team members outside the Americas
Nice to have
Proficiency in a programming language is preferred but not required
