Job Description:

The EC&I Engineer will be responsible for producing design studies and manufacturing designs for NSG projects. The engineer will work within a multi-discipline design team and be responsible for undertaking the design of equipment as delegated by the Integration Manager and/or Project Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing design studies and manufacturing designs for NSG projects
  • Working within a multi-discipline design team
  • Undertaking the design of equipment as delegated by the Integration Manager and/or Project Manager
  • Production of EC&I design concepts
  • Produce designs that conform to relevant British and European standards and client requirements
  • Produce and maintain an LTQR / Technical File
  • Ensure the design addresses operability, maintainability, and safety issues
  • Produce designs that meet project programmes and budgets
  • Produce design justification reports
  • Production of functional safety and controls design documentation
  • Produce information to enable manufacturing
  • Check in-house and subcontract drawing documentation
  • Production of EC&I technical specifications
  • Production of Commissioning documentation
  • Subcontract supplier management
  • Attendance and witnessing of Commissioning activities
  • Interpretation and creation of EC&I engineering drawings using AutoCAD
  • Author engineering reports
  • Ensure personal, professional, technical and engineering competency
  • Understand technical aspects of a project and develop design solutions
  • Consolidation and collation of design documentation

Requirements:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree, HNC or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent
  • Broad based engineering experience in design and manufacturing
  • Design of electrical systems
  • Low voltage control gear
  • Control systems
  • Competent user of MS Office
  • Production of technical reports and documents

Nice to have:

  • HVAC control systems experience
  • Safety interlock design experience
