Job Description:

The role leads a global Gemini Verification & Test group with several teams at internal locations within the In-Center Value Stream Machines division. The role is characterized by strong leadership skills across multiple hierarchical levels and a proven business orientation. The role acts as a manager, mentor, or source of ideas and promotes the development of its organization and its members. Through its management skills and technical breadth, the role increases the success of the associated teams. The role shares its wide-ranging business expertise with others and effectively represents the organization to cross-functional interest groups, customers, and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the global verification and testing team, defining strategies
  • Ensuring effective and efficient verification activities, including the testing of systems, software, hardware, and interfaces
  • Global harmonization and sustainable improvement of verification capabilities in value stream machines (all processes, methods, data organization, tools)
  • Increasing the degree of test automation, promoting design-for-test and test-driven development approaches together with appropriate requirements analysis
  • Supporting development projects through development-accompanying tests
  • Ensuring effective and efficient collaboration with the development teams
  • Planning, developing, and supporting strategic collaboration with external service providers with the aim of establishing long-term partnerships
  • Continuous development of the team

Requirements:

  • University degree in engineering in the fields of computer science, electronics, physics, medical technology, or a comparable academic education
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in R&D, particularly in verification, mechatronic systems, and software
  • Experience in leading global teams, preferably in a matrix organization
  • Experience in planning and managing resources to achieve specified goals in accordance with senior management requirements
  • Expertise in processes, procedures, and specifications in verification and test management
  • Proven track record, experienced in cross-functional collaboration with R&D colleagues and product management
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and experienced in ensuring compliance with these requirements
  • Strong in dealing with the optimization of work processes
  • Motivating employees and managers, using various methods and social skills to motivate and encourage employees to achieve their best performance and further development
  • Excellent German and English language skills
