Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced product strategy professional to join Microsoft’s Experiences & Devices (E+D) Strategy team as a Senior Director. The E+D Strategy team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Microsoft’s most iconic products—Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams, Windows, Business Application and Surface. As a Senior Director of Strategy, you will lead the development of multi-year strategic roadmaps, drive cross-functional initiatives, and pioneer the use of AI and large language models (LLMs) to transform both our products and the discipline of strategy itself.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strategy in the Era of AI: define and institutionalize AI-native tools and workflows to accelerate strategic research, analysis, and decision-making
  • Product Strategy: Proactively advocate for change to existing product strategies to better meet customer needs and stay competitive
  • Resource Alignment: Inform allocation of resources to align with organizational goals, competitive pressures, and engineering execution
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Identify opportunities, threats, and potential investments based on market trends, technology shifts, and competitor activities
  • Industry Foresight: Forecast transformative industry shifts and develop actionable plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Lead complex strategy projects, orchestrate workstreams across E+D and partners, and drive alignment across teams
  • Executive Trusted Advisor: Build relationships with CVP+ decision makers by synthesizing complex issues into concise, executive-ready insights
  • Software Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial productivity tools, business applications, and competitive landscape

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years strategy, product management, marketing, business planning, consulting, banking, investing, economics, and/or partner organization experience
  • OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 6+ years strategy, product management, marketing, business planning, consulting, banking, investing, economics, and/or partner organization experience
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, banking, investing, competitive research, software product strategy or AI product management
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 15+ years strategy, product management, marketing, business planning, consulting, banking, investing, economics, and/or partner organization experience
