Marriott International is seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Director, Global Select + Midscale Brands to shape the future of assigned brands within a rapidly evolving portfolio. This leader translates global category vision into actionable strategies and long-term brand plans, guiding multi-year priorities and making enterprise-level decisions that balance brand ambition, commercial performance, and market realities.
Job Responsibility:
Defines and maintains brand positioning for assigned brands
Supports creation of strategic brand business plans
Defines and manages brand initiatives and projects through execution across continents
Defines brand performance metrics and recommends performance targets
Monitors performance for assigned brands and identifies optimization opportunities
Serves as brand advocate
Represents the brand in external forums
Leads new product creation / integration for the Select category
Serves as the primary liaison between global leadership and continent teams
Collaborates with cross-discipline teams
Leverages consumer insights, market trends, and data analytics to identify opportunities
Leads brand-specific innovation projects
Partners with cross-discipline teams to ensure new products and initiatives are operationally feasible
Translates global vision into actionable team strategies
Inspires and leads high-performing teams
Drives a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and learning
Requirements:
4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major
10+ years of relevant professional experience demonstrating career growth and exceptional performance
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic brand plans and multi-year business strategies with clear performance outcomes
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-brand initiatives in highly matrixed, global environments
Strong analytical skills, with experience leveraging consumer insights and market data to inform strategy and prioritize initiatives based on business impact
Nice to have:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Experience collaborating with continent / business teams to drive initiatives and align competing priorities
Track record of delivering results in complex, ambiguous environments requiring strong judgment, decisiveness, and influence
Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen, including evaluating trade-offs between brand value, owner economics, and enterprise ROI
