The Senior Director, Philanthropy and Partnerships is a front-line member of Y-USA’s fundraising team, responsible for securing the philanthropic resources necessary to reach and sustain YUSA’s $100 million annual fundraising goal in service to organizational priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Build and manage a principal gift ($250,000+) donor portfolio aligned to reaching the department’s annual $100 million goal
Partner with the Vice President of Financial Development to build the individual donor portfolio for YUSA
Lead discovery and engagement meetings with prospective funders
Partner with a grant writer and project manager to build and submit funding proposals
Collaborate with Financial Development operations and appropriate program staff to ensure grant awards are distributed in a timely manner
Update donor database on a regular and frequent basis
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a relevant field such as Business, or related disciplines required
Advanced degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 12 years of experience required
Deep functional expertise and functional thought leadership
Oversee multiple teams or functions
Ownership of short to mid-term execution of functional strategy and the operational direction
Internal and external communications, executive level, high influence on dept. and organization
Minimal supervision from manager, manages an area or team leads within a function/department
