The Software Development Company (SDC) Marketing Team at Microsoft empowers software companies to build the next generation of AI-powered applications and agents on Microsoft’s cloud. We are looking for a Senior Director of Software Development Marketing to lead a high performing team that will transform how we drive growth across our partner ecosystem. In this role, you will bring to life why Microsoft’s cloud is the best choice for innovative software companies to build, scale, and differentiate. You’ll shape and tell the “Why Microsoft for Software Companies” story—through our voice and the voice of our partners. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution that shape SDC preference and consideration of Microsoft as the AI platform of choice, recruit software development companies to build on Microsoft, and drive SDC growth through Microsoft Marketplace. In this role, you will be a visionary leader who has a deep understanding of startup ecosystems, cloud services, and AI/ML market dynamics, is a strategic thinking, has business and marketing acumen across complex partner ecosystems, and the executive presence to influence at the highest levels of the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to recruit, build, publish on Microsoft Marketplace, and drive growth for software development companies spanning startups, digital natives, and at-scale global SDCs
  • Craft compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate with founders, technical leaders, and the broader software development ecosystem
  • Shape and deliver the go-to-market narrative for software development companies and drive campaign strategies
  • Build, inspire, and scale a world-class team, modeling Microsoft’s leadership principles: Model, Coach, Care
  • Champion cross-organizational alignment to ensure marketing programs are tightly integrated with business objectives and deliver measurable impact

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
