Job Description:

CLEAR is seeking a strategic, data-driven Senior Director, Member Strategy & Retention to establish and drive a high-impact Member Strategy & Retention function. You will own the end-to-end performance strategy across the Member lifecycle—from acquisition and activation through long-term retention. This role combines analytical rigor, strategic vision, and operational execution to unlock growth and deliver measurable impact across CLEAR’s Membership base.

Job Responsibility:

  • Segment and assess key member cohorts using quantitative and qualitative insights
  • shape tailored strategies to improve conversion and retention across these segments
  • Serve as the strategic architect for CLEAR’s Member lifecycle, identifying performance opportunities and defining the roadmap to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention
  • Develop a hypothesis-driven testing agenda to pilot new growth and retention strategies, balancing speed and rigor
  • Lead cross-functional execution of strategic initiatives from design through implementation, ensuring accountability, agility, and scalability
  • Partner with our Member Insights team to dive into the data on the behavior of CLEAR’s Members, helping us understand how to improve performance with a data-driven approach
  • Architect reporting across Member segments to help leadership understand performance
  • Own investigating and diagnosing issues in day-to-day Member segment performance
  • Own Member Retention performance and strategic roadmap while building a team to support the performance of other key member cohorts

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Growth, or Business Operations, ideally within consumer tech, travel, financial services, or subscription businesses
  • Prior experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or a Strategy & Ops function is highly preferred
  • Deep analytical fluency
  • able to structure complex problems, analyze data, and drive insight-based decision-making
  • Proven track record of turning strategy into execution with measurable business impact
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete data, and iterating as needed
