LERMA/ is seeking a Senior Director, Media Strategy — a leader who understands how media shapes culture and how culture drives connection. This role is responsible for building modern, insight-driven media strategies that move people and deliver real business impact. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and innovation — partnering across disciplines to ensure media is not just a channel, but a driver of meaningful brand experiences. As a senior leader, you’ll guide clients, grow the business, and develop a team that’s curious, collaborative, and built for what’s next.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the development of culturally relevant, forward-thinking media strategies grounded in data, creativity, and emerging technologies
Ensure media approaches are aligned to business goals and designed to deliver measurable impact
Partner across Brand Strategy, Data & Analytics, and other disciplines to create cohesive, audience-first plans
Represent media as a core voice in integrated strategy, ensuring it plays a central role in how ideas come to life
Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, building relationships rooted in insight, honesty, and impact
Drive growth across existing and new business through strong strategic thinking and innovative ideas
Bring a deep understanding of category dynamics, cultural shifts, and consumer behavior to every engagement
Ensure teams are set up for success with clear direction, strong briefs, and aligned expectations
Oversee the full media lifecycle, including planning, investment, and financial management
Leverage data, analytics, and evolving tools to continuously optimize performance and strengthen outcomes
Lead and grow a high-performing media team, creating an environment that values curiosity, collaboration, and accountability
Provide clear direction, mentorship, and opportunities for development across all levels
Ensure teams are structured and resourced effectively to deliver great work and sustainable growth
Champion LERMA/’s values and foster a culture that reflects who we are and how we work
Keep a pulse on the evolving media landscape, from new platforms to shifting consumer behaviors
Translate trends into meaningful opportunities for clients and the agency
Build strong relationships with media partners to unlock new ideas and capabilities
Contribute to LERMA/’s voice in the industry through thought leadership and POVs
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, or related disciplines
5+ years leading teams and managing people
Proven ability to develop and lead integrated, cross-channel media strategies
Strong analytical mindset with comfort translating data into actionable insights
Track record of driving client success and contributing to business growth
Experience with upfront negotiations and working within restricted categories is a plus
A clear point of view and the ability to influence at senior levels
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Confident communicator and presenter
Collaborative mindset with a passion for integrated work
Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative
Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment
