In this role, you will work closely with candidates, campaign managers, and leaders of political organizations to identify their needs or challenges and recommend and execute targeted solutions. This person is a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for delivering messages and creating content that cut through information silos to persuade, motivate, and ultimately win campaigns.

Job Responsibility:

  • Campaign Management – You will be responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of persuasion, mobilization, advocacy, and modern content distribution campaigns across electoral and advocacy campaigns. You will be expected to interpret research findings, create a strategic approach and then partner with targeting experts, creative, media planners and others to write a sophisticated, integrated campaign plan using paid, earned and owned tactics
  • Content Development - Leading creative experts, copywriters, and social media and other specialists, you will oversee the creation of both paid and organic content that stands out from the noise, persuades, and motivates voters and other targets
  • Digital Paid Advertising – Leading ad strategists, media planners and buyers, marketing analytics and other specialists to deliver excellence for your clients, you will oversee the development of messaging and digital content for marketing campaigns, as well as review and guide a wide range of deliverables from reports and memos to presentations to social and digital advertising assets
  • Client & Account Management – You will be responsible for driving the strategy, deepening the trust of your clients and supporting BPI’s Partners and Executive Leadership team on a variety of accounts. You will serve as the main point of contact and oversee the daily management, communication and execution of services for the client, which often include senior management or executive level decision-makers
  • Team Management & Communication – You will be responsible for developing members on your team in their fields of expertise and building them to become the next leaders in the agency. You will coach and mentor your team’s performance and manage their quality of work to ensure they are efficient and effective in meeting client deliverables. You will work collaboratively and communicate with internal, cross office and cross department team members to ensure timelines and quality expectations for client deliverables are met
  • New Business Efforts– You will work with agency partners and other senior leaders to develop and pitch new business opportunities. You are capable of managing the agency’s existing clients and establishing new client relationships. In support of new business opportunities, you are comfortable drafting proposals and producing materials for client pitches with minimal direction and oversight from agency Partners

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience across electoral and advocacy campaigns and message distribution, whether in traditional paid media, digital media, direct mail or communications
  • Proven track record of working on complex client accounts (or related issues) and delivering successful advocacy and media campaigns
  • Comfort in presenting and briefing everyone from candidates and executive directors to 30 cross-functional colleagues at every level
  • Deep knowledge of cross-channel marketing, with the ability to think analytically about a problem
