Our client, a leading consumer packaged goods company with a portfolio of nationally recognized brands, is seeking a Senior Director eCommerce to lead and accelerate the company’s online sales strategy across its full brand portfolio. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital commerce strategy that drives growth across key online platforms while building internal capabilities to compete effectively in the evolving eCommerce landscape. This is a highly visible leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach. The Senior Director will partner closely with sales, marketing, and brand teams to align digital initiatives with broader commercial objectives. The individual will also oversee one direct report and play a key role in building the organization’s eCommerce capabilities while delivering measurable online sales growth.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute the company’s eCommerce go-to-market strategy across all brands within the portfolio
Assess the digital landscape and identify opportunities to expand online distribution and accelerate growth across key platforms
Drive growth across major digital channels including Amazon, pure-play retailers, and omni-channel partners
Create and implement an eCommerce channel playbook including objectives, priorities, strategies, and performance metrics
Establish and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives and overall online sales performance
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, brand, and sales teams to ensure strong product content, digital merchandising, and promotional execution
Lead test-and-learn initiatives to evaluate new products, platforms, and online marketing strategies
Support the broader sales organization by providing guidance and education around digital commerce best practices
Manage and develop one direct report while fostering strong collaboration across internal teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Significant experience developing and executing eCommerce strategies within the consumer packaged goods industry
Strong knowledge of the Amazon ecosystem and major digital retail platforms
Experience driving online sales growth across multiple brands or product categories
Proven ability to build internal capabilities and influence cross-functional teams
Strong analytical skills with experience establishing and tracking performance metrics
Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across the organization
