Job Description

The Senior Director of Corporate Engineering will play a pivotal role in driving this company forward and lead the next evolution of Vanta’s IT strategy, supporting an in-office and remote-first workforce, and ensuring our systems, tools, and workflows are modern, secure, and efficient. The Senior Director of Corporate Engineering will lead the IT Operations and Systems Engineering functions, serving as the cornerstone for technology enablement across Vanta. You will oversee all aspects of employee technology, from service desk operations and office infrastructure across five global offices, to enterprise systems strategy and governance. This role is both strategic and operational, balancing the long-term roadmap for IT with the daily delivery of world-class service and reliability.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports Vanta’s growth, global footprint, and evolving business priorities
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams across IT Operations and Systems Engineering
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to align IT investments with Vanta’s long-term objectives and compliance requirements
  • Oversee end-user computing, device management, collaboration tools, and service delivery for a remote-first workforce and five global offices
  • Drive improvements in IT support processes, SLA adherence, and employee experience
  • Ensure office and hybrid workplace technology infrastructure meets operational and security standards
  • Lead enterprise systems strategy and architecture for company-wide applications, workflows, and integrations
  • Partner with Go-To-Market Systems, Finance Systems, and Procurement teams to ensure scalability, data integrity, and security across tools
  • Establish standards for application lifecycle management, including vendor selection, onboarding, and decommissioning
  • Oversee automation initiatives and workflow optimization across SaaS platforms
  • Partner with Security and Privacy teams to ensure compliance with internal controls and external frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP)

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in IT or Systems Engineering
  • At least 5 years leading global, multi-function teams
  • Proven track record developing IT strategies and scaling technology operations for a remote or hybrid workforce
  • Deep experience managing enterprise SaaS ecosystems (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Salesforce, Jira)
  • Strong understanding of system integration, workflow automation, and enterprise architecture
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Security, Procurement, and Go-To-Market Systems
  • Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company strongly preferred
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
