Job Description:

At Deliveroo, our mission is to transform the way people shop and eat — and our merchant partners sit at the heart of that mission. As we continue to scale globally across restaurants, grocery, retail and new verticals, we’re investing in the next phase of our commercial capability. We’re looking for a Senior Director, Commercial Enablement to own and elevate how our merchant-facing teams operate worldwide. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and sitting on the Merchant Leadership Team. You’ll set global standards, drive adoption at scale, and ensure that what we build centrally delivers real impact for merchants in every market.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set and own global standards for partner-facing processes across the full merchant lifecycle — from acquisition through onboarding, growth and off-boarding — driving performance, efficiency and continuous improvement across all markets
  • Partner closely with Product and Technology leaders to shape scalable, automated and AI-enabled merchant-facing tools that improve experience, efficiency and commercial outcomes
  • Define and embed partner-facing policies, working collaboratively with Legal, Policy and Care teams to ensure clarity, compliance and transparency for partners
  • Own go-to-market execution for merchant-facing process and technology changes, ensuring alignment, clarity and adoption across diverse commercial teams
  • Drive partner engagement and acquisition through scaled communication channels, overseeing B2B CRM, web, paid channels and evergreen merchant content that complements local commercial teams
  • Lead the design and evolution of commercial reporting, metrics, incentives and performance routines, in partnership with Data Science and Analytics, to support effective decision-making across markets
  • Own the commercial learning and development agenda, ensuring frontline teams globally have the skills, frameworks and support needed to succeed
  • Build, coach and lead a high-performing, inclusive enablement organisation, while influencing hundreds of frontline commercial roles through a complex matrix

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading large, multi-market commercial, enablement, operations or sales organisations, ideally in a marketplace, B2B or high-volume consumer environment
  • A strong track record of driving adoption of new processes, tools, incentives or ways of working across large frontline populations
  • Experience operating in highly matrixed organisations, influencing senior stakeholders and Executives without direct authority
  • A structured, data-led approach combined with the mental agility to adapt best practice to real-world context
  • Comfort partnering deeply with Product and Technology teams to shape tooling, automation and platform-led solutions
  • High energy, resilience and appetite to operate at pace in a constantly evolving business
What we offer:
  • A competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package
  • Equity
  • Free Deliveroo Plus: free delivery and access to special offers
  • Team lunches from the best local restaurants
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of time spent working at Deliveroo
  • One day of paid leave per year to volunteer with a registered charity
  • Funded single cover healthcare on our core plan, with the option to add family members at own cost
  • On-site gym (HQ), discounted external gym membership
  • Access to wellbeing apps such as LesMills+, Strava, Headspace, Yogaia via GymPass
  • Discounted dental insurance and a range of other flexible benefits, such as critical illness cover, partner life cover, travel insurance, health assessments
  • Life assurance
  • Maternity, paternity and maternity and shared parental leave, eligible from day one of employment
  • Excellent kit to enable working from home and a parent-friendly working culture
  • Access to free mortgage advice
  • Cycle to Work Scheme or Season Ticket Loans, depending how you wish to travel
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities and access to RooLearn, our learning platform, packed with high-quality training and content
  • Regular Employee Resource Group (ERG) led social events – examples include dinners, dance lessons and in-office yoga sessions
  • Summer and end-of-year parties
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions
