Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Direct Tax Accountant to join our client's Boston finance team. In this role, you will serve as the primary owner of our US direct tax compliance function and work closely with HQ tax teams to support federal, state, and international tax reporting. This position offers strong visibility and the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives as the company expands globally.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage US federal and state income tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to oversee preparation and filing of US Federal and State income tax returns
  • Support US international tax reporting by gathering financial data from global subsidiaries and assisting HQ tax team with transfer pricing documentation and implementation
  • Assist in the income tax provision process and support R&D tax credit studies to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Partner with the finance team on strategic initiatives, providing tax analysis and modeling for business expansion, corporate transactions, and special projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience public or corporate
  • Public Tax – Big 4 is great
  • Some tech client exposure is a huge plus
  • Mandarin language skills a must
  • CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) preferred
  • Strong understanding of federal/state income tax and international tax concepts
