We are seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Designer to join our customer team in Gothenburg, contributing to the design and validation of advanced digital hardware systems for high-performance automotive and industrial applications. The role involves hands-on design of complex digital components such as CPUs, DRAM/flash memory interfaces, Ethernet switches, and clock synthesizers/jitter cleaners. You will play a key role in ensuring signal integrity and system reliability through rigorous analysis, simulation, and lab validation. The ideal candidate is self-driven, technically curious, and capable of independently leading design tasks from concept to deployment. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation and precision are critical.
Job Responsibility:
Design and develop complex digital hardware systems including CPUs, memory interfaces (DRAM/Flash), Ethernet switches, and clock synthesizers
Perform schematic design using industry-standard EDA tools
Conduct signal integrity analysis and simulation to ensure robust system performance
Lead design validation through rigorous lab testing and debugging of prototype boards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations
Take ownership of design tasks from concept through deployment
Document design specifications, test plans, and validation results
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in digital hardware design for complex systems
Proven experience in schematic design using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, KiCad)
Deep understanding of digital interface technologies: DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, Ethernet (10/25/100GbE), and high-speed serial protocols
Experience designing and validating memory subsystems (DRAM, Flash) with focus on timing, power, and signal integrity
Hands-on experience with high-speed digital circuit design, including clock distribution, jitter cleaning, and PLL design
Proficient in signal integrity analysis using tools such as Keysight ADS, Mentor HyperLynx, or SIwave
Strong lab skills: capable of building, testing, and debugging prototype boards with precision
Excellent soldering skills and familiarity with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and multimeters
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively solve technical challenges
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across global teams
What we offer:
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital hardware systems for automotive and industrial applications
Fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation is valued
Hands-on role with full lifecycle ownership
Career development in high-speed digital design
Competitive compensation and professional growth opportunities
Work with global teams on advanced technology projects
