A 12 month maternity cover role to lead the customer acquisition and retention strategy for for the group, driving high-quality traffic and engagement through expert management of digital marketing channels and specialist teams. Through innovative acquisition strategies and high-quality content, the Senior Digital Channel Manager creates a better digital experience, making it easier for customers to access the solutions they need to improve homes and businesses.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure all digital content and marketing communications comply with data protection (GDPR) and advertising standards to protect customer privacy and trust
Promote a culture of psychological safety within the digital team, providing consistent line management and development support during the 12-month cover period
Responsible for 4 direct reports (3x Senior Digital Marketing Executives, 1x Digital Content Manager)
Responsible for e-commerce performance, acquisition spend efficiency, and margin maintenance
Oversee the day-to-day performance of SEO, paid media, and email channels to ensure a seamless and relevant journey for every site visitor
Oversee the production of high-quality onsite copy and product category content that addresses customer needs and improves search visibility
Collaborate with the Digital Consultant to implement digital audit recommendations that directly enhance the customer journey from acquisition to retention
Drive the migration to a new operating model for SEO and paid activity, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovations
Deliver company-wide digital campaigns that integrate innovative customer solutions across the various group domains
Provide dedicated line management and development support to the acquisition team, fostering a high-performance culture
Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure acquisition spend is efficient and aligned with commercial margin targets
Execute a comprehensive and successful handover from the incumbent to maintain operational momentum and team cohesion
Requirements:
5+ years in Digital Marketing
Proven line management experience
Performance management of SEO and paid agencies
strategic acquisition planning
Advanced data analysis and e-commerce reporting
Deep understanding of SEO, Paid Media, and Digital Content strategies
Knowledge of the differences between trade and retail digital journeys
