We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our Payment team, which is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.
Job Responsibility:
Own and evolve our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
ensure scalability, reliability, and security by design
design, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
embed security controls (e.g., SAST/DAST) directly into development workflows
lead monitoring and observability initiatives (e.g., Datadog)
proactively identify system risks and drive incident response and resolution
define and implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, vulnerability management, and infrastructure hardening across environments
drive security initiatives such as patch management, threat detection (e.g., GuardDuty, Falco), and credential leak prevention across systems and repositories
collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams
contribute to architectural decisions and lead security audits and compliance efforts
Requirements:
5+ years in DevOps/SRE
3+ years in security-focused roles
proven track record in securing cloud-native systems at scale
deep hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments
strong knowledge of IAM and RBAC models
highly proficient in Terraform and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI)
comfortable coding in at least one language (Go, Python, or JavaScript)
solid experience with data storage systems (e.g., PostgreSQL)
working understanding of data pipelines/ETL processes (e.g., AWS Glue)
strong expertise in cloud security, monitoring, and observability
proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills
