Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our Payment team, which is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain and continuously improve our AWS infrastructure using IaC
Automate deployment workflows using tools like GitlabCI and Terraform, while maintaining documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational processes
Develop and implement monitoring solutions across integration, staging, and live environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, and respond swiftly to system alerts and incidents
Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies to enhance platform performance and reliability, and implement security best practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Develop and maintain cloud security solutions, integrating security best practices into company processes
Manage patching across the entire infrastructure and tech stack to minimize vulnerabilities
Audit and secure Kubernetes and AWS environments, identifying misconfigurations and mitigating security risks
Automate security controls in CI/CD pipelines and implement SAST/DAST for secure development
Scan Git repositories for potential credential leaks and improve security monitoring
Collaborate with teams on security initiatives and participate in cybersecurity audits
Stay updated on emerging threats and proactively enhance cloud and application security

Requirements:

At least 5+ years of experience in DevOps
3+ years of experience in Security focused role
Strong Experience maintaining Unix/Linux servers
Strong Experience running Kubernetes at scale
Feels proficient with Terraform, and at least one among Go, Python, Javascript
Knowledge of security best practices applied to AWS and Kubernetes
Know how to use Gitlab in your daily routine
Strong problem-solving abilities
Strong Automation skills to streamline workflows
Experience with Agile methodology and a proactive approach
Strong Experience in Monitoring and Observability of the infrastructure (Datadog preferred) and vulnerabilities discovery and tracking with tools such us Falco, Guardduty
Strong experience in architectural design for cloud optimized applications
Fluent in English both spoken and written
