Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Specialist - Digital Health at Takeda, you will support the design, implementation, and operation of DevOps and mobility solutions that enable secure and efficient software delivery. You’ll work within a collaborative, scaled agile environment alongside business, product, and engineering teams. Your focus will include automating deployments, supporting mobile application delivery, and continuously improving Takeda’s developer platform and cloud infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for a technically skilled engineer to deepen their expertise in DevOps, cloud, and secure mobile delivery within a regulated, high-impact healthcare environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the development, automation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for cloud and mobile applications
  • Assist in configuring build and release workflows for Android and iOS applications, including integration with Google Play and Apple App Store
  • Help implement Infrastructure as Code for cloud resources (with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools)
  • Participate in deploying and supporting public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Work with team members to maintain container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes/EKS/AKS) and related DevOps tools
  • Help expand and support the Takeda Internal Developer Portal and self-service tooling
  • Participate integrating security and compliance requirements into build and deployment processes
  • Support auditing, monitoring, and documentation of DevOps workflows to meet quality and regulatory needs
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and cybersecurity teams to address challenges and improve platform reliability
  • Contribute to platform documentation, knowledge sharing, and team onboarding
  • Stay up to date on DevOps, cloud, and mobile best practices to support the team’s continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or systems engineering roles
  • Experience configuring and automating build and deployment processes for Android and/or iOS applications, including distributing apps through Google Play or Apple App Store using CI tools
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or comparable)
  • Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes orchestration
  • Experience setting up or supporting CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Scripting experience (BASH, PowerShell, or Python)
  • Good communication and collaborative skills.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Prior experience supporting mobile application delivery in a regulated or enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with application life cycle management (ALM) tools
  • Basic understanding of DevSecOps best practices and secure software delivery concepts
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performance, cross-functional team.
