We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to deliver global IT integration and operational support across private cloud environments, focusing on Kubernetes-led application hosting. The individual will contribute to building, maintaining, and optimising a production‑ready platform designed to support applications for multiple Vodafone markets worldwide. The role involves ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of applications and CI/CD pipelines, supporting seamless lifecycle management, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and vendors.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the stability, availability, and reliability of applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines across all environments
Lead system migrations, upgrades, and integrations, selecting appropriate tools, automation methods, and deployment approaches
Own incident and problem resolution, prioritising according to SLA impact and business criticality
Define, promote, and implement DevOps best practices, including monitoring, automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage escalations, address technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Experienced in system integration and DevOps tool deployment, including Kubernetes, Docker, and APIGEE
Able to manage migration and upgrade activities with full ownership and adherence to release requirements
Skilled in service management, incident handling, and prioritising multiple cases based on agreed SLAs
Capable of maintaining application and server availability across UNIX and Windows environments while troubleshooting databases and application components
Familiar with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, microservices architecture, Nexus, SonarQube, and AWS (advantageous)
Knowledgeable in UNIX/Linux administration, DNS, proxy configurations, and connectivity methods
Possesses foundational software or web development understanding and ITIL principles, with Remedy experience considered a plus
Proactive in updating technical documentation and contributing to team knowledge bases
Nice to have:
Familiar with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, microservices architecture, Nexus, SonarQube, and AWS (advantageous)
