The U.S. Specialized Infrastructure team is seeking a visionary leader in cloud transformation to support our Air Dominance (AD) program and drive its success! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating innovative DevSecOps patterns with an "automate everything" mindset, ensuring that our cloud initiatives are efficient and secure. As both an individual contributor and a leader, you will guide a talented team of senior and junior DevSecOps developers. Your initial focus will be on cloud migrations, transitioning into cloud optimization and implementing Cloud First strategies. Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for COTS and custom-built applications
Integrate DevSecOps tools to automate security checks and vulnerability assessments within the CI/CD pipeline
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, security, operations, and product teams, to ensure security is embedded in all phases of the application lifecycle
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DevSecOps practitioners, promoting best practices in automation, security, and cloud operations
Enhance operational security by implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
Participate in Agile SAFE ceremonies, providing input on security and automation best practices
Strong understanding of networking and network security concepts (e.g., VPC, subnets, VPNs, NACLs, Security Groups)
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD processes, security tools, and operational security
Provide training and guidance to teams on CI/CD, DevSecOps, and operational security best practices
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements through automated checks and controls
Document and maintain CI/CD workflows, security protocols, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps)
3+ years of experience with scripting programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar
3+ years of experience with DevOps software including Gitlab, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipelines, AWS CodeGuru
3+ years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
3+ years of experience working within an Agile development team
1+ years of experience in integrating security tools like SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scanners into CI/CD pipelines
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), and automation tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chef etc.)
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Current certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, or Docker Certified Associate
Experience containerization and cloud orchestration tools (Tanzu, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST 800-53)
Experience with network security and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Experience with serverless architectures and associated security challenges.
