Job Description:

As our data platform team continues to scale, we’re investing in strengthening the foundations that support our engineering, analytics and deliver. This role exists to ensure our infrastructure is secure, automated, reliable and primed for ongoing growth. You’ll play a key part in maturing our DevOps capabilities and enhancing the performance and resilience of our Azure hosted platform. You’ll play a central role in building, maintaining and optimising the infrastructure that underpins our Snowflake and Azure ecosystem. You’ll work closely with our platform team and data engineering teams to ensure seamless operations and a consistent, scalable environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration to drive consistency and scalability
  • Managing code repositories and implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Automating deployment processes to ensure quality, security and repeatability
  • Using Ansible for configuration management and system automation
  • Managing containerised services within Azure
  • Administering Snowflake within the Azure platform
  • Embedding DevOps best practices across security, compliance and cost management
  • Collaborating with the wider team to continually improve DevOps workflows and operational excellence

Requirements:

  • Proven 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, including expertise with Terraform, Git and Azure DevOps
  • Experience working with Snowflake
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Azure certifications (nice to have but not required)

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to data modelling concepts
  • Experience with SAP source systems (ECC, S/4HANA) as part of an Azure Estate
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with SAP BI tools e.g. BODS, Business Objects - Webi
  • Exposure to DBT and Theobold
