We are a Y Combinator / Latitud backed micro-lending platform in Mexico led by people from companies such as Capital One, Bain & Company, Konfio, DiDi, Clip, Klarna, etc. We are hyper focused on making sure that customers improve their financial lives significantly through their relationship with us. In a very short time, we have achieved significant traction with exceptional consumer outcomes and unit economics. Our goal is to build the biggest AI enabled fintech platform in Mexico and eventually LatAm.

Job Responsibility

Take full ownership of the tech development of a specific function of the app. It will involve developing backend and/or frontend, meeting new functional requirements, as well as structural improvements to the application
You will also be managing one or more junior developers. Expectation would be 75-80% time on coding and the rest on team / project management
Work closely with our Tech Lead, Head of Growth and Head of Risk to brainstorm, develop and prioritize projects, while communicating effectively with the team and founders
Make sure that we have a very high rate of development of product and tech infra
Implement monitoring and administration systems for the application
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to help build indicators and data sets for modeling and analysis
Be able to maintain the balance between developing super fast but also keeping in mind how the tech infra will scale as we continue growing very fast
Be able to talk to teams across functions and be able to explain technical things to them very simply

Requirements

Experience in developing backend/frontend for web/app
Experience with languages such as python, js and frameworks such as nodejs with express and django / fastAPI
Experience with frameworks such as react/react native/angular/vue js
Experience with relational and non-relational databases specifically postgresql and mongodb/redis/aws Dynamodb
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to work autonomously while managing some junior engineers
Good command over English and Spanish
3+ years experience
