Job Description:

Lead design for our Editor Platform group, which builds AI-powered editor experiences across Teamwork Collection and the Atlassian portfolio. Our Editor Platform helps users express their ideas in the most compelling & effective way through rich formatting, collaborative editing, & AI-native experiences. We're on the lookout for a high-craft leader who can drive a top-notch, consumer-grade experience standard. In this role, you’ll guide a team of product designers, aligning them with stakeholders, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality, impactful design work that supports business objectives and elevates user experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and mentor a team of product and content designers
  • Oversee complex design initiatives spanning multiple workstreams
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Research to deliver cohesive, end-to-end product experiences
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Atlassian product portfolio
  • Define and deliver conceptual models and incremental design improvements for core components
  • Champion design best practices, inclusive design, and pattern adoption

Requirements:

  • 12+ years in product design
  • 5+ years managing teams within a tech or SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in interaction design, prototyping, content design, or visual design
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners, align stakeholders, and influence product strategy
  • Proven track ability to craft compelling experience visions
