Job Description:

Senior Design Engineer (Electricity) – Join a Leading Utility Partner. Are you ready to be part of a company driving innovation and accelerating the UK’s transition to net zero? Our client, a leader in the utility sector, is looking for a Senior Design Engineer (Electricity) to join their team and help shape the future of energy infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and lead a design team, providing direction, guidance, and performance monitoring
Support the development and evolution of policies and processes within the electrical design department
Drive efficiency improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Identify competency gaps and collaborate on training programs to enhance team development
Conduct network demand calculations and design Points of Connection (POCs) to deliver technical solutions and quotations

Requirements:

HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
IEng accreditation (or working towards)
Experience in utility network design
Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations & Health and Safety legislation
Familiarity with current electrical standards and specifications
Excellent communication & leadership skills
